On Thursday 24th March Twitter users across Suffolk will be joining together, part of the global Twitter Twestival.

Suffolk Twestival on March 24th 2011

About the Twestival

The goal for the day was to raise funds for the Suffolk Disability Care Fund whose aim is to improve the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities living in Suffolk.

We’re pleased to announce that Suffolk surpassed it’s target of raising £5,000 for the charity, and in fact came 3rd in the UK and 16th in the WORLD!

A Fantastic effort.

A great programme of the local events was organised by many of the great digital and marketing companies and individuals through-out Suffolk in aid of this great cause.

Don’t forget to follow @TwestSuffolk

V4 had an open house session, inviting fellow twitter users to come along and ask technical and development related questions, we then went on to race go-karts in the afternoon (Don’t ask).

We then some of use went on to enjoy an evening at the Brewary tap in Ipswich, including an auction, a raffle,  a drink or two and a very tasty hog roast roll via a pig donated by AOB‘s CEO Adrian Melrose.

Looking forward to next year

We’re looking forward to getting involved again next year and hope you get time to join in with your local Twestival events.
