Cool Chile

About the Project

Founded in 1993, the Cool Chile proposition was simple: to start importing a wide variety of the best dried chillies, direct from México, for the UK market. The founders had the vision for a whole new range of flavours and heat sensations for real Mexican cooking.

Since then, Cool Chile has grown and now supplies consumers, restaurants and deli-counters with a wide range of spicy and delicious products.

To grow their audience further they needed an e-commerce website that would enable them to sell their products to customers across the UK and beyond.

The Results

The key challenge for the new site was to appeal to consumers, retailers and wholesalers. It also needed to provide different delivery and pricing options, dependent on customer type.

Using Trifle’s e-commerce features, we built a website that presented their products in a fresh format with an easy to use shopping basket. These ranges now include tortilla, cheeses, herbs and other merchandise.

Wholesalers can log in to access unique pricing and products.

A number of features were developed specifically for the Cool Chile website including:

Delivery cost estimation before checkout
Wholesale and retail pricing
Integration with Sage accounting
Parcelforce label generation

The client has now been working with V4 Technical for over 2 years and we continue to support them as they grow.
